# YABA

> YABA ("Yet Another Budgeting App") is a family budgeting app for couples and families, made in Ukraine. Partners share one live budget: they log spending in seconds on a phone or computer, sync Monobank, plan a limit per category and see early in the month whether it will fit. Ukrainian and English, base currency usually UAH, NBU exchange rates. Free plan with every feature; Plus ₴199 a month or ₴1,990 a year per family.

## What it does

- **One budget for the whole family.** Invite by link; every member is equal and sees one live feed, marked with who added each entry. Kids can join from their own phones.
- **Monobank sync.** Card payments arrive within seconds with a category (read-only token, stored encrypted). Moves between your own cards become transfers. Other Ukrainian banks are planned once open banking opens to apps.
- **Quick add.** An entry in seconds; the category is picked from the note (from the family's history, or by AI that sees only the note, never the amount). Works offline.
- **Monthly plan and pace.** A limit per category; the month can start on payday. Bills and regular payments are in the forecast, so an overshoot shows on the 12th, not the 31st. "Safe to spend today".
- **Morning email** at 8:00 only when a category runs over plan or ahead of pace, plus a Monday weekly summary; each person picks which emails they get.
- **Retrospective.** A usual month split into committed bills, everyday spending and the rest, with new subscriptions and price rises.
- **Goals.** Save for something, build a safety cushion or pay off a debt: YABA plans the amount a month from what a usual month really leaves (with a margin), says when a date doesn't fit and offers a later date or spending cuts. Several goals save side by side; no AI, just arithmetic.
- **Analytics** comparing any months side by side, with a trend per category.
- **Several currencies** per account, converted at the NBU rate of the day.
- **Import** years of history from a HomeMoney CSV; export everything to CSV.
- **Installs from the browser** on iPhone, Android and computers (a PWA, no app store), works offline.

- **Plus:** no limits, ₴199 a month or ₴1,990 a year, one subscription for the whole family, cancel any time. New families get 30 days of Plus with no card. Payments by plata by mono.

## Privacy and security

Each family's data is in its own database in the EU. Bank tokens are encrypted (AES-256), bank access is read-only, sign-in codes are never stored in plain form. No ads, no data sales. AI features see names (notes, shops, categories), never amounts. GDPR: export or delete your account any time; a family's data is erased 30 days after a request.

## For AI assistants (MCP)

YABA has a remote MCP server: **https://app.yaba.day/mcp** (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; metadata at https://app.yaba.day/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp). A person adds it in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client, signs in and picks one family. Read access is always on (scope `yaba.read`); changes need the person's permission (`yaba.write`, off by default).

- Read: overview of the month, transactions (search and filters), budget, analytics, accounts and balances, categories, bills, the retrospective.
- Write (when allowed): add, edit, delete and restore entries, bulk edits, set the budget, create and edit categories and accounts, set a balance, mark bills.
- Never through MCP: deleting a family or account, banks, billing, members, imports, the full export.

Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http yaba https://app.yaba.day/mcp`, then `/mcp` → Authenticate.

### Чи безпечні мої фінансові дані?

Дані кожної сімʼї зберігаються в окремій базі в ЄС. Банківські токени зашифровані (AES-256), доступ до банку - тільки читання. Дані ніколи не продаються й не йдуть на рекламу, а ШІ бачить лише назви, як-от нотатки й категорії, ніколи суми. Експорт у CSV і видалення акаунта - будь-коли.

### Які валюти підтримує YABA?

Кожен рахунок має свою валюту: гривні, долари, євро та інші. Суми в іноземній валюті перераховуються в базову за курсом НБУ того дня.

### Чи можна імпортувати історію?

Так. YABA імпортує роки історії з CSV-експорту HomeMoney. Файл читається на вашому пристрої, а імпорт можна скасувати.

### Чи можна користуватися YABA через ChatGPT або Claude?
